The 2022 world champion has already received the 5th prize in this nomination, which has become an absolute record. Before that, the direction belonged to Xavi, who won awards between 2007 and 2011.
Lionel Messi received the award with 170 points, 55 more than Real Madrid’s Croatian midfielder Luka Modric and 130 more than Belgium’s Kevin De Bruyne, who won the award in 2020 and 2021.
