Talalaev explained the choice of Tambov as a winter staging ground for Torpedo

Capital “Torpedo will hold its first preparatory winter camp in Tambov due to the convenience of logistics. This was said by the head coach of the car factory Andrei Talalaev .

The collection of Muscovites in Tambov will take place from January 6 to 10. On January 23, the team will play a test match with Alania Vladikavkaz.

– Why did you decide to bring the team together so early this time, and even in Tambov?

– It’s simple: while we are in last place in the Premier League, we need to train more than the other teams, so we were the first to come out of vacation. Our technical staff is not used to doing introductory courses after the holidays, to let them “get involved”, we leave immediately “from the ship to the balloon”.

The choice in favor of Tambov was made due to the convenience of logistics. In Moscow, from the hotel where Torpedo is usually based, to the arena in Sokolniki, Luzhniki and Khimki, where they were ready to provide us with sandy ground, we spent 2-3 hours on the road every day. When doing high volume workouts, recovery time is very important for soccer players.

Therefore, we decided to organize a gathering where all the sports facilities we need are concentrated in one place. In addition, there is a very good ski base in Tambov, but, unfortunately, the weather interferes. At minus 20, we will not risk the health of the players and will cancel ski training, instead there will be a boxing lesson. Our program is flexible, we adapt and quickly change plans depending on the circumstances,” Talalaev told the club’s press service.

After 17 rounds of the WORLD RPL “Torpedo” has only six points to his credit and takes the last, 16th place in the standings.
