President “Corinthians Duilio Monteiro Alves says the club are close to signing the striker on a full contract.Zenith Yuri Alberto, as part of the deal, midfielder Du Queiroz and defender Robert Renan will move to Russia.
The striker plays for the Brazilian club on loan, which will expire in the summer of 2023. If the deal goes through, Alberto will sign a five-year deal with Corinthians.
Defender Renan and midfielder Queiroz will follow in the opposite direction to Zenit. Duilio explained that Corinthians would own a certain percentage of the rights to these players.
– The negotiations are almost closed, the details remain. I cannot divulge more information due to an agreement with Zenit. But we will keep about 50% of Yuri Alberto’s rights.
Renan, of which we hold 55% of the economic rights, will very soon become a player in Zenith. Queiroz is expected to travel to Russia in mid-2023.
I didn’t think such an option would work, given Yuri Alberto’s age and the opportunities he has in Europe. But his desire to stay at Corinthians worked, said Duilio, as quoted by ESPN.
Earlier, journalist Fabio Aleixo said that Renan had already signed a contract with Zenit and officially became a player of the Russian club.
