French striker Kylian Mbappe supported Zinedine Zidane after the harsh words of the president of the French Football Federation (FFF), Noël Le Grey, on the possibility of the specialist taking over as head coach of the national team.
– Can Zidane go to Brazil? He can go where he wants! Has he contacted me to work in the national team? Of course not, I wouldn’t even answer the phone,” Le Gré said.
After these words, Mbappé noted through social networks the importance of Zidane for French football.
“Zidane is France, we don’t disrespect these legends,” Mbappé wrote.
Earlier, the French Football Federation announced the extension of the contract with current national team head coach Didier Deschamps until 2026.
