The Welshman played his last match at the 2022 World Cup
Winger FC Los Angeles and Wales Gareth Bale announced his retirement from sports.
The 33-year-old Welshman made his professional debut in 2006 at Southampton. The following season, Tottenham bought him, and later the winger moved to Real Madrid.
As part of the Blancos, Bale won the Champions League five times, became the champion of Spain three times, and also won many other national and international trophies. In the summer of 2022, Gareth moved to Los Angeles FC, with whom he became the MLS champion.
The winger made 111 appearances for Wales. Bale took part in the 2022 World Cup along with the national team. The Wales captain played his last match against England (0:3) in the group stage of the World Cup in Qatar.
