Bowley took over after the departures of Marina Granovskaya and Petr Cech in the summer of 2022. The American businessman will be involved in the club’s budget approval process, but technical director Christopher Wyvell and director of talents and transfers Paul Winstanley will assume most of the transfer responsibility.
Last spring, Chelsea belonged to a consortium led by Bowley, who bought the club from Russian entrepreneur Roman Abramovich.
The Blues are 10th in the Premier League table with 25 points from 17 appearances.
