In Bergamo, they thanked the Ukrainian for his time in the team
Sports Director of Atalanta Tony D’Amico commented transition Ukrainian midfielder Ruslan Malinovsky in Marseilles.
“We thank him for what he has done during his time at Atalanta. An opportunity arose and we decided to take advantage of it. Ruslan plays in a position where we have enough performers, so we agreed to the transfer.”
“We think about the opportunities that we have. We are in daily contact with Gasperini, discussing options on the market to strengthen the composition. Sometimes we succeed more, sometimes less. We’ll see what the decisions will be before the end of the winter transfer window.”
Recall that the French club rented a 29-year-old football player of the Ukrainian national team with a mandatory right to buy.
Malinovsky has been playing for the Italian team since 2019. He has made 15 appearances for Atalanta this season, scoring one goal and two assists. In total, the Ukrainian has 143 matches in the Bergamasks, in which he scored 30 goals and 28 assists.
Marseille are third in Ligue 1, eight points behind leaders PSG. In the next match the team will play against Troyes on 11 January.
