The London club will pay 11 million euros and take over the salary of the Portuguese
Chelsea reached an agreement with Atlético for rent Madrid club striker Joao Felix.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the 23-year-old Portuguese will undergo a medical examination at the London club in the next few hours. Chelsea will take over the player’s salary and Atlético will receive €11m for a 6-month loan.
Recall that Chelsea agreed on the terms of a personal contract with Joao Felix. Earlier it was reported that Atlético was ready to loan the striker to Manchester United or Arsenal.
Felix has made 20 appearances for Atlético Madrid in all competitions this season. The striker scored five goals in them and gave three assists.
Chelsea are 10th in the Premier League table. The Blues will next play against Fulham on 12 January.
