The former Barcelona player sued the club for 8.5 million euros for terminating the contract via email

The Catalan court orderedBarcelona » pay a former team player Matheus Fernandez 8.5 million euros.

The Brazilian has decided to sue his former club after the Catalans unilaterally terminated his contract via email, according to The Mirror.

The player’s lawyers have claimed 14.8 million euros in compensation.

The midfielder joined the Spanish club in January 2020 but he has only featured for the team once, spending 17 minutes against Dynamo Kyiv.

Currently, 24-year-old Matheus plays for club Red Bull Bragantino.
