Ukrainian midfielder undergoes a medical examination in Marseille on Monday
Marseille head coach Igor Tudor commented on the transfer of midfielder Atalanta Ruslan Malinovsky.
“We wanted to get Ruslan this summer, that was our goal. We succeeded, I hope the deal will be completed today.”
“Malinovsky is strong in the last thirty meters, he has a good vision of the game, a good foot. I like the way he interprets football. Otherwise, we’ll see what happens in the coming days.”
Earlier it was reported that the deal between the clubs completed. Marseille will pay the Bergamasks 10 million euros plus 3 million euros in various bonuses. Malinovsky will undergo a physical on Monday and then sign a contract until 2027.
This season, the 29-year-old Ukrainian has played 15 matches for Atalanta, scoring one goal and scoring two assists.
Atalanta are seventh in Serie A with 28 points. Marseille are third in Ligue 1, eight points behind leaders PSG.
