Forward Lionel Messi close to renewing his contract with PSG until 2024.
According to journalist Nicolo Schira, the Argentine will earn 40 million euros a year. The contract will be signed with an option to extend until 2025.
Earlier there was information that Messi plans to extend the contract with PSG. The Argentine has made 19 appearances for Paris this season, scoring 12 goals and providing 10 assists.
Messi returned to PSG and resumed training after winning the 2022 World Cup with Argentina. He is likely to play for PSG in the French league game against Angers on 11 January.
At the completed World Cup in Qatar, Messi became the best player in the tournament, and the Argentina national team won the world championship.
PSG lead the Ligue 1 standings, four points ahead of Lens.
