The Ukrainian has already made his debut in the Olympic
Ukrainian midfielder Ruslan Malinovsky spoke about his move to Marseilles. The midfielder stressed that he came to the Olympic with a desire to get trophies.
“Marcel made me the most concrete offer, so I didn’t even have any doubts. I know that there was talk about England, but there was no specifics. I followed Marseille a lot, I planned to move here in August. I have been following the team for a long time and I like their game. It’s dynamic football, which I love.”
“Coming here is a big step forward in my career. Marseille is a team that wants to win trophies. I’m 29 but I can still progress, I haven’t reached the peak of my career yet.”
The French club rented a 29-year-old Ukrainian national team player from Atalanta with a mandatory right to buy until the end of the current season. Previously, Olympique will have to pay about 13 million euros for Malinovsky, including bonus payments.
Ruslan has already made his debut for Marseille in the Ligue 1 match against Troyes (2:0). The midfielder was marked with a yellow card immediately after his substitution.
The Ukrainian has been playing for Atalanta since the summer of 2019. Ruslan has played 15 matches for the Bergamasks this season, scoring one goal and scoring two assists.
Marseille are in third place in the standings. In the next round, Olympique will host Lorient on January 14.
