Piacenza, Fidelis, Imolese and others fighting for salvation: they also know how to trade at the top…

As usual, the January market, with its characteristic short deadlines, ignites from the first days and does not cease to see all the protagonist companies of various operations. However, in this first half of the session, special attention was paid to those clubs that are today at the bottom of the classification of the three groups. Triestina, Trento and Piacenza in Group A, Imolese in B and the Fidelis Andria-Messina pair in C were not afraid to flip their lineups in an attempt to reach the goal of the rescue. In fact, many of the shots already scored are far from being made by inexperienced or low-quality players: just think of Simeri, who was snatched from Bari by the Imolese player, Cragl, who chose Messina to return to Italy, or Malomo, taken from Trieste.

There is no known name (other than Bocalón sold to Mantua) for Trento. But the feeling is George Zamuner arrived in the current season instead Attilio Gementi relies more on the functionality of the players to be placed in the first team than on the Italian curriculum. And this can only be intriguing, considering that often in C you see too much repetition of famous faces that are now not suitable for professional football.

As for the Serie C leaders, they can’t help but reveal my curiosity about what’s in store for us in Group C. So far, Catanzaro has been the absolute protagonist in the South, with an unrivaled first leg in European professional football. However, Crotone, it seems to me, intends to give battle to the Gialloros until the last moment. D’Errico and D’Ursi, who may soon be joined by Marras (who, however, has Catanzaro himself plus SPAL) and Gigliotti for the Sharks. In short, everything except the surrender of the Vrenn family.

A final note on the corporate position of one of the companies mentioned above: Triestina. Rumors of a change of ownership that have been circulating in recent days have turned out to be in vain, and many names of future managers have appeared. A situation that, of course, is not conducive to the calm of the team, which must save itself. The current owner has certainly made some mistakes in his few months at the helm, but given what has happened recently on other fields, it is far from certain that he will have better opportunities in the future.
