American Bournemouth owner buys stake in French club Lorient

Owner of an English football club Bournemouth American businessman Bill Foley and the Black Knights have acquired a minority stake in France’s Ligue 1 team. “Lorients”.

The amount of the transaction and the size of the action are not specified. The agreement offers the possibility of investing additional funds in Lorient after the end of the season.

Lorient won the Coupe de France in 2002. The team is in 6th place in the standings with 32 points.

Foley acquired Bournemouth last December from Russian entrepreneur Maxim Demin. The media estimated the value of the deal at 120 million pounds.
