The Blues are determined to intercept the winger from Arsenal
Chelsea trying to intercept the winger Miner Mykhailo Mudrik at Arsenal. Representatives of the Blues have already arrived in Poland to reach an oral agreement with the Donetsk club on the transfer of the 22-year-old Ukrainian national team player.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are offering about 100 million euros for Mikhail. Arsenal’s latest offer, which leads the race for Mudrik, is €70m guaranteed plus €20-25m in bonuses.
Mudrik’s position is now decisive. Earlier, the Ukrainian has repeatedly stated that he wants to continue his career at Arsenal and has already agreed on the terms of a personal contract with the Gunners.
At the same time, Chelsea is ready to pay Mudrik 7.5 million euros a year, while Arsenal offered the Ukrainian 5.5 million euros.
This season, Mikhail played in 18 matches for Shakhtar, scoring 10 goals and providing eight assists. Now the Ukrainian is in Turkey, where Igor Jovicevich’s team is preparing for the second part of the season.
Chelsea are 10th in the Premier League. Arsenal are leading the Premier League.
