The Reds conceded three goals after the break
Liverpool succumbed on the road Brighton (0:3) in the match of the 20th round English Premier League.
Former Shakhtar coach Roberto De Zerbi’s team took the lead in the 47th minute thanks to a goal from Solomon March. Six minutes later, the English midfielder scored again.
In the 82nd minute, Brighton’s third goal was scored by Danny Welbeck. Liverpool left the field without scoring goals.
Liverpool suffered their second defeat in a row in the Premier League and dropped to eighth place. Brighton have moved up to seventh position and are two points ahead of the Reds.
In the next round on January 21, Liverpool will play Chelsea, and Brighton will play Leicester. Jurgen Klopp’s team will face Wolverhampton Wanderers in the FA Cup round of 32 replay on January 17.
