Former Head Coach Lokomotiv Marko Nikolic believes that the transition from midfield Dmitry Barinov of the Moscow club “Besiktas” would be the right decision.
– Besiktas is a big club. If we talk about Fenerbahce, Galatasaray and Besiktas, then these are big clubs at European level with an army of fans, history, money and good stadiums. Turkish football is pretty much the same as Russian football: there are a lot of similar things.
Barinov is one of the most beloved players I worked with in Russia. He is a very good guy and also a very high quality player. I know he has long dreamed of playing in Europe. At the same time, he is currently the captain of Lokomotiv, which is in a difficult situation in the standings.
But such a step would be okay – it’s a good challenge for him. Barinov would show himself at the highest level in Besiktas – it’s a good and big team for him. Barinov, 26, has made 20 appearances for Lokomotiv this season, scoring one goal.
