Hugo Lloris’ mistake and Martin Odegaard’s powerful shot gave the Gunners victory
Arsenal confidently beat Tottenham in the North London derby – 2: 0.
The Gunners scored both of their goals in the first half. At first, Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris was grossly mistaken. Bukayo Saka after a quick attack shot from an acute angle, and the Tottenham keeper released the ball into his own net.
Arsenal had another productive counter-attack in the first half. Martin Odegaard braved a long shot and scored the second goal. In the second half, the Spurs managed to equalize the game, but the Gunners did not allow them to recoup.
Ukrainian Oleksandr Zinchenko left the start for Arsenal, having spent 86 minutes on the field. The defender did not score with effective actions today.
Arsenal continue to lead the English Premier League with 47 points. Tottenham are in fifth place with 33 points.
In the next round, Alexander Zinchenko’s team will host Manchester United on January 22. Spurs will face Manchester City on 19 January.
