“Manchester United” close to signing midfielder Wolverhampton Rubena Neves reports The Sun.
Manchester United have been following Neves, 25, for 12 months. The England team’s new head coach, Eric ten Hag, is a fan of Neves’ talent. In the near future, the Premier League club will make further attempts to buy a football player. For ten Hag, the Portuguese is the number one target to strengthen the midfield, but the Dutch specialist could consider other options if the attacker chooses to Barcelona who also works on player transition.
Wolves were originally ready to sell the player to Manchester United for around €47m this winter but now they want to raise the price to €60m.
Neves’ contract with Wolverhampton ends in 2024 but has stalled at the renewal stage.
In the 2021/22 season, Neves has made 36 appearances for Wolves, scoring 4 goals and providing 2 assists. Transfermarkt value the player at €40m.
