President of Agribusiness with members of the club defends Ukraine in Bakhmut
Honorary President of Agribusiness Oleg Sobutsky commented on the situation around the head of the Ukrainian Football Association Andrey Pavelko.
“Patience always runs out. People endure, endure, but there is an end to everything. Probably, the boiling point has reached the point that the guys can no longer stand it and began to raise this issue in a serious way.
“I don’t think that Pavelko will come out unscathed. How much he stole, how much trouble he did to Ukrainian football and all of Ukraine. This is a criminal. And how can a criminal now lead such a powerful organization. I’m sure he won’t come back.”
“Many people [на замену Павелко]but who would agree. It’s not like going to Ukrainian football, but going to ruin, what debts it’s all been driven into.”
“Pavelko is afraid that the 2030 World Cup will be taken away, which we have not yet received, but only submitted an application [с Испанией и Португалией]. And he already says that they will take him away, although they have not given him to us yet. And he blurs his eyes like that.”
“The activities of Pavelko should be summed up by him himself. First, he must report how much funds from UEFA, FIFA for covid programs and in general for all programs came to the balance of the federation and where they went, how they were distributed. We have information about how much money came to other federations, and we are such a big country, something is deceiving us.”
“Many people in Ukraine who can be nominated for the presidency of the UAF. Andrey Shevchenko? He, firstly, has authority among football people, and there can be a team near him. I know that many presidents are engaged in completely different activities, but their federations are progressing at a frantic pace. The most important thing is to have right and loyal people around you who know the work and will live not from football, but for football.”
Oleg Sobutsky joined the army after a full-scale Russian invasion. The functionary defends Ukraine along with other employees and players of the club in Bakhmut.
Recall that the Kyiv Pechersk Court appointed Pavelko a preventive measure in the form of arrest for two months, until January 22, 2023. However, Pavelko had the opportunity to make a bail, which was used by the UAF, paying about 10 million hryvnias.
The UAF considers the entire process to be commissioned work from the former leaders of the association. At the same time, on October 18, a search took place in the house of the UAF president. Pavelko denied conducting searches in his own house, but stressed that behind-the-scenes games “with a Russian trace” were being waged, the purpose of which was to remove the current leadership of the Association.
In 2018, the Schemes program conducted an investigation, as a result of which journalists suspected the UAF and its president Andriy Pavelko of corruption through a factory for the production of artificial fields.
