The old lady can appeal
Juventus deprived 15 points in the current draw Serie A 2022/23. The Turin club has the right to appeal against this decision.
The Court of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) granted the petition of the prosecutor, who demanded punishment for the club for violating financial fair play. At the same time, FIGC has not yet made decisions on the players and the former leadership of Juventus, who has retired.
Former club president Andrea Agnelli was reportedly facing a 16-month ban, vice-president Pavel Nedved 10 months, and former sporting director Fabio Paratici, now at Tottenham, 20 months and 10 days.
The Chamber of the UEFA Club Financial Control Body is examining the contracts of several football players, suspecting financial fraud in them. In case of confirmation of violations of the law, the club faces fines from UEFA, including for the guilty players.
Recall that the Chamber of Financial Control concluded a settlement agreement with Juventus in August. The deal was completed based on financial information for 2018-2022 provided by the club. Later, however, the Italian Commission for Companies and Exchanges, together with the Turin prosecutor’s office, released data on alleged financial violations by Juventus.
Juventus have dropped to 10th in Serie A with Massimiliano Allegri’s team now on 22 points. In the next round, Juventus will host Atalanta on January 22.
