Real Madrid visited Chelsea and, with Karim Benzema’s hat-trick, won the first leg and created a good advantage in the quarter-finals of the Champions League
This Wednesday, the 6th, the Real Madrid visited the Chelsea, at Stamford Bridge, and featured a concert by Karim Benzema to open up a big lead in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League. Still in the first half, the Frenchman scored twice, but saw Havertz discount for the home team. In the second half, there was a goalkeeper failure Mendy, completed his hat-trick and secured the victory.

The game started electrifying at Stamford Bridge! Playing at home, Chelsea started pressing, but saw the Spaniards arrive in danger for the first time, in a move by Vinicius Jr. At 10 minutes, Benzema back-heeled Valverde, who served the Brazilian. The Italian-Brazilian hit a beautiful cross, into the area, behind Carvajal, where he found Havertz, who appeared to head in and score the first of the English: 2 to 1 at half-time!

And on the return of half-time, with just a minute of ball rolling, Benzema scored his third goal, to guarantee the Merengue victory in London! After a shot from the Real Madrid defense, Mendy dominated with a lot of space in the defense field, but ended up holding the ball too much and playing weakly for Rudiger. Benzema then pressed the mark, stole, and just had to send it to the empty goal: 3 to 1 for Real Madrid!
Chelsea made changes during the second half, tried to squeeze in search of another goal, but sometimes it stopped in the Spanish defense, sometimes in the great defenses of Courtois. The Blues’ best chance in the second half came in the fourth minute, when Azpilicueta took advantage of a spare and filled his foot, in the angle, but the Belgian goalkeeper jumped in to practice a save! Real win in the first game of the quarterfinals!
