Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation Oleg Matytsin told reporters that after the introduction of the FAN ID system, fans would not stop going to Russian football.
On May 29, Dynamo and Spartak will play the Russian Cup final in the capital. 70,000 fans are expected to attend the game.
– Will so many fans go to football with Fan ID? Necessarily. I hope football will not suffer,” Matytsin said.
The Fan Identification Act will come into force on June 1, 2022. Previously, supporters of some Tinkoff RPL clubs announced a boycott of matches where an electronic spectator identification system would be used.
