Ex-Manchester United captain doesn’t think Cristiano Ronaldo failed in his job

Former Manchester United captain Rio Ferdinand appreciated the contribution Cristiano Ronaldo in the team’s results this season.

– On an individual level, Cristiano did what he always did in his career, scored goals, many of which were winners. Now I think the club clearly failed to do their part and gave Ronaldo a team and a platform to succeed. It just goes to show that great players, even the best in history, can’t do everything alone, they need the help of their teammates,” Ferdinand said on the FootballJOE YouTube channel.

Ronaldo moved to Manchester United in August 2021, signing a contract until the end of June 2023. This season he has played 39 games, scored 24 goals and provided 3 assists.
