Foden missed the second Manchester City match in a row due to injury

The midfielder unsuccessfully competed for the riding ball in a duel with Manchester United

Midfielder Manchester city Phil Foden did not get into the team’s squad for the match with Wolverhampton (3: 0) due to injury, said the head coach of the Citizens Pep Guardiola.

“He jumped Aaron Wan-Bissaka against Manchester United and had a problem with his leg. This caused discomfort, so we decided with the doctors to give him a rest. Let’s see if he comes out against Arsenal,” Guardiola said.

Foden did not finish the match with Manchester United (1:2). The midfielder was in the application of the Citizens for the postponed match of the 7th round of the Premier League with Tottenham, but did not enter the field.

The midfielder has made 27 appearances for Man City in all competitions this season. Foden scored 9 goals and provided 4 assists.

Manchester City are in second place in the Premier League with 45 points. Pep Guardiola’s next match will be against Arsenal in the FA Cup on 27 January.
