Another newcomer to the UPL leader
SC Dnepr-1 announced the signing of a contract with the defender Ronald Matarrita. The 28-year-old player of the Costa Rica national team signed a two-year agreement with the Ukrainian club.
Matarrita is a graduate of Alajuelense, with whom he won the Costa Rican championship in 2013. For the past seven years, Matarrita has played in the MLS for New York City and Cincinnati.
In total, Matarrita played 147 matches in MLS, in which he scored seven goals and gave 15 assists.
Also on account of Ronaldo 54 caps for the Costa Rica national team. At the 2022 World Cup, the defender had two fights against Spain (0:7) and Germany (2:4).
Earlier, Dnipro-1 signed defender Veres Evgeny Pasich and rented Brazilian defender Hainer.
Dnipro-1 is leading the Ukrainian league, ahead of Shakhtar by five points. The national championship will resume in March. Also, the team of Alexander Kucher will play with the Cypriot AEK in the 1/16 finals of the Conference League.
