The contract is for 3.5 years
Strasbourg officially announced the signing of the Brugge defender Edward Sobol. The French club signed a 3.5-year contract with the 27-year-old Ukrainian national team player.
It was reported that Sobol wanted to change clubs due to the lack of playing time in Brugge. This season he has played 14 matches (one goal) for the Belgian team, but the defender played only two games in full.
Sobol has been playing for Brugge since 2019. First, the blue-blacks rented the Ukrainian from Shakhtar, and in 2021 they bought the defender’s contract from the Pitmen.
In addition to Brugge and Shakhtar, Sobol also played for Metallurg Donetsk, Metallurg Zaporozhye, Metalist, Zorya, Jablonec and Slavia Prague. On account of Eduard 27 matches for the national team of Ukraine.
Strasbourg is 16th in Ligue 1 with 15 points from 19 matches. In the next round, the new Sobol team will play Toulouse on January 29th.
