The midfielder of the English club Joelinton was punished for driving his car drunk.

Midfielder Newcastle Joeliton for the next 12 months will not be able to drive alone and will use taxi services. This decision was made by District Judge Paul Carrer, because the player was behind the wheel while drunk.

In addition to his suspension, Sky Sports reported that Joelinton received a fine of £29,000. The penalty is calculated from the player’s weekly salary, which is 43 thousand.

The player must also pay an additional fee of £2,000 and costs of £85.

At the same time, the player will get his driver’s license within nine months if he goes through a rehabilitation course.

Note that the police stopped the Newcastle footballer’s car on January 12. The 26-year-old footballer was caught for exceeding the speed limit, but in addition, he also failed a breathalyzer test. The device showed that he had 43 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of breath, with the permissible limit of 35 mg.

At the same time, the football player himself admitted that he drank two glasses of alcohol before getting behind the wheel.
