RB Leipzig beat at home Stuttgart in the 18th round Bundesliga – 2:1.
The Bulls opened the scoring in the middle of the first half. Midfielder Dominik Soboslai scored with a free-kick. The Hungarian midfielder later strengthened the advantage of the hosts, at the beginning of the second half, responding to a pass from Andre Silva.
Stuttgart managed to win back one goal, the penalty was converted by Chris Fürich. More guests could not achieve.
Leipzig scored 35 points after the victory and came close to the Bundesliga leader Bavaria, having played a match more. Stuttgart remain in 15th place with 16 points.
Leipzig will next host Hoffenheim in the round of 16 of the German Cup on 1 February. Stuttgart will also play a cup clash with Paderborn on 31 January.
