Ukrainian in two sets lost to the first seed Ocean Doden from France. The fight lasted less than an hour. Daria lost three of her serves, failing to make a break even once.
In the previous rounds, Snigur first defeated Romanian Andrei Mita in three sets, and then beat Susan Bandecci from Switzerland in two sets. In the quarterfinals, Daria defeated the representative of Turkey, Zeynep Sonmez.
Recall that at the first Grand Slam tournament in 2023, the Australian Open Snigur failed to reach the main draw. The Ukrainian lost in the second round of qualification to 15-year-old Brenda Frugvirtova from the Czech Republic.
