Marseille missed the opportunity to catch up with Lens in the standings and remained in third place. Malinovsky’s team has 43 points. Monaco is fourth in Ligue 1 with 38 points.
Marseille will next play away to Nantes on 1 February. Monaco will host Auxerre on the same day.
