“I lost a part of me; This love will never die”: the moving letter from Pelé’s widow a month after his departure

Márcia Aoki took to the late footballer’s social media to post a heartfelt farewell letter to her husband.

Likewise, the widow of what is considered by many to be the best footballer in history, admits that “although knowing that it is an inevitable fate for everyone, I feel like I have lost a part of me (…)” .

The Japanese-Brazilian businesswoman also took to the letter to thank fans for their support: “There is a strong sense of gratitude that I was able to share my pain with the world. We have received millions of messages of affection and solidarity which have filled my heart with comfort and peace. I want to thank everyone from his fans who still pay tribute to him. I also want to thank Santos FC and the city of Santos for supporting us in such a difficult time.” he added.

Finally, Aoki concluded with a heartfelt message: “Sharing my life with Edson was a true love story. Sharing Pelé’s love with you was great too. That love will never die and will always be with us. Forever” ended.
