Brighton refused to sell Caicedo to Arsenal for £70m

The Gunners now need to make the club’s record-breaking offer

Brighton refused to sell Arsenal midfielder Moises Caicedo for 70 million pounds + bonuses.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, if Arsenal make a new offer for Caicedo within the next two days, and it is accepted, it will be a record transfer in the history of the club.

Earlier it was reported that in the near future Caicedo will become an Arsenal player. The player has already said goodbye to colleagues from Brighton.

Note that the Gunners recently signed another player of the Seagulls – Leandro Trossar.

This season, Caicedo has one goal and one assist in 21 appearances for Brighton in all competitions. The 21-year-old Ecuadorian has a contract with the Chaikas until 2025.

Arsenal, which includes Ukrainian Oleksandr Zinchenko, leads the Premier League, five points ahead of Manchester City. At the same time, the Gunners have a match in hand. Brighton are sixth in the Premier League.
