Yevhen – about the return of an experienced defender to Shakhtar
Forward Minaya Evgeny Seleznev in the comment YouTube channel Sport Arena shared his opinion on the return of the defender Yaroslav Rakytsky in Miner.
“I am very happy for Rakitsky. I don’t really want anything to be said [негативное о нем]because I know what a patriot he is, what kind of person he is and what he does for the country,” Seleznev said.
In mid-January, Rakitskiy returned to Shakhtar, signing a contract until the end of the 2022/23 season. The 33-year-old defender spent the first part of the current season in the Turkish Super League Adana Demirspor.
From January 2019 to March 2022, Rakitskiy played for Zenit. Yaroslav terminated the contract with the St. Petersburg club after the invasion of Russian troops in Ukraine.
This season, Seleznev has played only one match (seven minutes) for Minaj. The forward did not go with the team to the training camp in Turkey.
