BLU’s next big transfer
Midfielder of Benfica Enzo Fernandez officially moved to Chelsea.
The London club will pay 121 million euros for the 21-year-old Argentinean. River Plate will receive 25% of the total.
Earlier it was reported that Chelsea is ready to pay the clause of the Argentine 120 million euros.
There was also information that Chelsea had agreed a personal contract with Fernandez. The agreement with the Argentine midfielder will be calculated until 2028. Enzo’s salary will be 10 million euros per year.
The 22-year-old world champion has made 29 appearances for the club in all competitions this season. The midfielder scored 4 goals in them and gave 7 assists.
In the winter transfer window, Chelsea signed defender Benoît Badiashile, midfielder Andrej Santos, wingers Mihail Mudrik and Noni Madueke, forward David Datro Fofan, defender Malo Gusteau, and also loaned striker João Felix.
Chelsea are 10th in the Premier League. In the next match, Mudrik’s team will host Fulham on 3 February.
