Shakhtar announced Rakitskiy, Kelsey and Gocholeishvili to UPL

The club is preparing for the second part of the season

Miner made changes to the team’s application for the second part UPL 2022/23.

The club announced the defenders Yaroslav Rakitsky, Georgy Gocholeishvilias well as forward Kevin Kelsey. Rakitsky took number 44, Gocholeishvili will wear number 13, and Kelsey will wear number 18.

Recall that the Georgian defender Gocholeishvili moved to Shakhtar from Saburtalo, signing a five-year contract. Rakitskiy returned to the Pitmen’s camp as a free agent, signing a six-month contract. Kelsey was acquired from the Uruguayan Boston River – the striker also entered into a five-year agreement.

In the Ukrainian championship, Shakhtar takes the second place, five points behind Dnipro-1. The Pitmen will play their next match in the UPL in the spring — on March 4, Shakhtar will face Metalist 1925.

On February 16 and 23, the team of Igor Jovicevich will play in the playoffs of the Europa League against the French Rennes.
