USSR Champion “Spartacus” Yuri Gavrilov assessed the chances of the “red-whites” at the Winline RPL Winter Cup tournament.
The tournament with the participation of Spartak, Krasnodar, Rostov and Sochi will be held in Abu Dhabi (UAE) from February 2 to 11.
– In matches in these tournaments, teams usually do not need points. The spirit of the struggle, of course, must be present, because no one wants to lose. But this Cup should only be considered in preparation for the season.
– What can you say about the level of rivals – Sochi, Krasnodar, Rostov?
– I don’t know how it was all planned, maybe other potential participants just couldn’t attend. Apparently anyone who is interested will participate.
– But, for example, it will be interesting for you to watch, albeit in the framework of a friendly tournament, the next confrontation between Spartak and Valeria Karpina ?
“If possible, I will be happy to see how they all prepare for the pursuit of the Russian championship,” Gavrilov told RB Sport.
