japanese striker Kazuyoshi Miura who turns 56 in February, has joined Portuguese side Oliveirense on loan until the end of the season.
This was reported by the press service of Yokohama, which holds the contract of the officially longest-serving professional football player in the world.
In November, Oliveirense was acquired by Yokohama owner Yuji Onodera. The team that was promoted to the Portuguese second division this season is currently ranked 9th out of 18 teams.
Miura last played for a European club in 1999 – then the striker, who was 32, defended the colors of Dinamo Zagreb.
