Fight for the rank undisputed world heavyweight champion between the owner of the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO belts Oleksandr Usyk and WBC champion Tyson Fury can pass April 29.
“Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk continue negotiations for the fight for the undisputed heavyweight championship, which is scheduled for April 29. Usyk has completed his end of the deal with the Saudis, and now it’s Fury’s turn. If not, the fight could go to Wembley. Ramadan ends on April 21st,” wrote ESPN journalist Mike Coppinger.
Earlier Usyk’s promoter Oleksandr Krasyuk said that the best time for the fight between the Ukrainian and Fury would be the end of April. Until the New Year, March 4 was considered the most effective date, but now the parties do not have time to prepare a battle for this time.
Promoter Bob Arum said that Usyk wants an equal distribution of income between the boxers in the unification fight with Fury. Arum also clarified that the organizers are waiting for proposals from representatives from the Middle East who wish to accept the fight.
