In two sets, the Ukrainian beat Nao Khibino
Ukrainian tennis player Marta Kostyuk made its way into quarterfinal on WTA 250 tournament in Hua Hin (Thailand).
In the second round, the Ukrainian beat Japan’s Nao Hibino in two sets. In the first game Kostyuk, with the score 3:3, won three games and took the set. And in the second game, Marta did not submit a set with a score of 5:4 and played two set points in a tie-break.
Kostyuk won her eighth match this year and advanced to the quarterfinals of the WTA tournaments for the second time this season. In early January, she lost to Once Gills at this stage in Adelaide.
Marta Kostyuk will play against the winner of the match Bianca Andreescu (Canada) – Anastasia Zakharova (-) for reaching the semifinals.
In the first round in Hua Hin, Kostyuk defeated the representative of Chinese Taipei Liang En Shuo.
