Ukrainian defender Alexander Zinchenko was among the contenders for the title Arsenal Player of the Year in January.
The 26-year-old Ukrainian took part in all the January matches of the Gunners.
“The Ukrainian played in all five games in January and made an impact in all of them, appearing all over the pitch to help break up opposition attacks and start his own. He returned the ball to the team 16 times and boasts an accuracy of passes of 87%, ”Zinchenko described the game in January on the Arsenal website.
Other nominees for the award include Martin Odegaard, Eddie Nketiah and Aaron Ramsdale.
Arsenal are leading the Premier League. The Gunners will play their next match on February 4 with Ukrainian Vitaliy Mykolenko’s Everton.
