The Ukrainian was replaced at half-time in the match with Fulham
Main coach Chelsea Graham Potter explained why he replaced the winger Mikhail Mudrik during the break of the match of the 22nd round Premier League against Fulham (0:0).
“He had a bad cold all week, so we thought 60 minutes [на поле] is his maximum. However, during the break, he felt heaviness in his legs, ”said Potter.
“We are still working with him in terms of increasing the number of minutes played due to the break he had in the season. So we just thought 45 minutes was enough for him.”
Mudrik first appeared in the starting XI of Chelsea. The Ukrainian played the first half, after which he was replaced by another newcomer of the Blues Noni Madueke during the break.
Chelsea scored 30 points and reached ninth place in the Premier League at least before the Liverpool match. The Blues next play West Ham on 11 February.
