Representatives of Messi and PSG will discuss the Argentine’s new contract in the coming weeks

The Argentine’s current deal expires in the summer of 2023.

Management PSG and representatives of the forward Lionel Messi will negotiate a new contract 35-year-old player in February. The meeting will take place in the next two or three weeks.

PSG intend to reach an agreement with Messi on a new deal as soon as possible. It was reported that the parties will sign a contract until the summer of 2024 with the option of extending for another season. The salary of the Argentine under the new agreement will be 40 million euros per year.

Two clubs from Saudi Arabia, Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad, are interested in Messi’s services. They are ready to offer Lionel a contract with a salary of 350 million euros per year.

Messi’s current deal with PSG expires in the summer of 2023. This season, Lionel has scored 14 goals and provided 14 assists in 23 matches for Paris.

PSG lead the French championship, five points ahead of Marseille Ruslan Malinovsky. On February 4, the Parisians will play with Toulouse.
