The Ukrainian has been following the new club for a long time
Ukrainian central defender Sergey Krivtsov spoke about his winter transition to Inter Miami. According to him, the American club made an offer back in December last year.
“The offer came back in December, when we had a break in the championship, we had a vacation. We spoke with my agent and I realized that for me, this would probably be the best solution. Moreover, in my entire career I have played only in Ukraine and only in two teams – Zaporozhye Metallurg and Shakhtar, so I would like to try my hand at another championship. See what it’s like to play somewhere else. Therefore, I decided that this option is the best for me and my family.”
“I spent 13 years at Shakhtar. During this time we have gone through a lot. I found new friends, good and real. I was happy with everything in this club. I won’t name any flaws. On the one hand, I understood that it might not be easy in a new place. But on the other hand, having not tried myself in another championship, I may later regret it very much.
“I have long been subscribed to Beckham’s Instagram account, he periodically posts photos and videos about the Inter Miami club. In general, the pink form immediately caught my eye, I really liked it, because it is unusual. I monitored information about the club, I was impressed by the project, its ambitions, goals, but then I didn’t think that I would become part of this club, ”said the Ukrainian.
The Ukrainian signed a contract with the new club until the end of the 2024 season with the option of extending for another season.
Kryvtsov has made 11 appearances for Shakhtar in all competitions this season without scoring.
Inter Miami finished sixth in the Eastern Conference of the regular season and were eliminated in the 1/8 finals of the 2022 MLS playoffs. The new season in the US Elite Division starts on February 25th.
