The new testimony of the alleged victim of Dani Alves: “I started to be very afraid (…) I said to myself, what if he put something in my drink?”

The investigation process against Dani Alves continues its course in Spain. The Brazil full-back remains in pre-trial detention as he is investigated for an alleged sexual assault that took place at a nightclub in December 2022 .

More than a month after the complaint, the Court of Instruction number 15 of Barcelona has collected the statement of the people involved, the attendants and the employees of the premises, in addition to examining the security images and examining the reports of police.

In this sense, the evidence collected so far places Dani Alves in a difficult position, which ensures, according to his version, that the sexual relations that took place inside the bathroom of the VIP area were consented .

However, the victim accuses them of having been forced and the main proof of this accusation against the Brazilian is the fact that he made a “forceful” and “persistent” statement when maintaining in court the same version as he did to the Mossos. . d’Esquadra the same night and two days after the events of the sexual assault suffered and blows allegedly given by the player after having resisted.

In defense of Dani Alves, they consider that there was no alleged harassment of the victim and his friends in the 20 minutes preceding the entrance to the toilets. All this based on footage from security cameras in the VIP area. For this reason, they believe that the images “refute in the most radical way the climate of terror described by the plaintiff”, and they question the statement made, since we see that Alves enters the bathroom and two minutes later the plaintiff does so after speaking with her friends, without the footballer “giving her the way or opening the door”.

Furthermore, the appeal filed requesting the release of Alves states that “it is the moment before the sexual encounter in the tiny cubicle or bathroom one entered first, then the other. And that the plaintiff describes and expresses as lived in a climate of terror, dread or microcosm of domination, a scenario that the images deny in the most radical way adding that the images cast doubt on whether the sex was consensual or forced.
