Usyk: Fury plays a “bad guy” when there are no cameras, he is completely different

The Ukrainian believes that he was able to penetrate the head of his future opponent

WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight title holder Oleksandr Usyk stated that he understood well the behavior of the WBC world champion Tyson Fury.

“I think I managed to get a little inside his head. I have watched Tyson Fury getting into the heads of his opponents for years. And then I got into his head.

“When there are no cameras, he is completely different. He plays the bad guy for the cameras. I think he likes movies about love and when he watches them he cries a little. And that’s not bad. When I watch some sentimental films, I can shed tears too.”

The battle between Usyk and Fury is tentatively scheduled for April 29. The bout is scheduled to take place in Saudi Arabia with London as a fallback option.

Promoter Bob Arum said that Usyk wants an equal distribution of income between the boxers in the unification fight with Fury. Arum also clarified that the organizers are waiting for proposals from representatives from the Middle East who wish to accept the fight.
