On Monday, the technical director of the Cypriot club “Karmiotissa” Tthonis Antoniou announced the appointment of the former striker of the “Zenith” and the Russian national team Alexander Kerzhakov as head coach.
– Before accepting Karmiotissa’s offer, Kerzhakov must study Cypriot football. In the early 90s, when I worked there, it was basically semi-professional. However, now the situation has changed, which is also demonstrated by the results in the European competition. Alexander also needs to find out everything about the team directly and find someone from local football who can come into his headquarters. It is desirable that he also be Russian-speaking.

In the 2021/22 season, Kerzhakov served as the head coach of PARI NN Nizhny Novgorod. Under his leadership, the club took 11th place in the WORLD RPL.
