Ukraine sent an official letter to the Royal Spanish Football Federation
Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) sent a letter to the president Royal Spanish Football Federation Louis Rubiales.
The UAF has requested a special investigation into the incident that recently occurred in the match of the third Spanish division Deportivo – Rayo Majadahonda.
During the meeting, Ukrainian forward Roman Zozulya was insulted by Spanish fans. Also, the fans of the hosts shouted “Putin will defeat you!”, “We are for Putin!”, “Zozulya is a Nazi!”.
Previously, the Ukrainian football player was insulted by ultras Rayo Vallecano when he played for Albacete. Allegations of “Nazism” thwarted his move from Betis to Rayo Vallecano in 2017.
Recall that in December last year, Zozulya signed a contract with Rayo Majadahonda until the end of the season. The Ukrainian spent five matches in the Spanish club, without distinguishing himself with effective actions.
In the standings, Rayo is in 14th position.
