Tedesco takes charge of Belgium national team

Contract until the end of Euro 2024

Domenico Tedesco officially appointed Belgian head coach. The contract was signed before the end of Euro 2024.

The last job of the coach was Leipzig, which Tedesco left in September last year after losing to Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League group stage.

At the 2022 World Cup, Belgium did not qualify for the playoffs, finishing third in Quartet F. Soon, Spanish specialist Roberto Martinez announced his resignation as head coach. The Spaniard has led the Belgian national team since 2016. Under his leadership, the team took third place at the 2018 World Cup.

Belgium will face Austria, Sweden, Azerbaijan and Estonia in Group F in the Euro 2024 qualifier.
