Final trio determined
FIFA named three final candidates for the title of the best football player of 2022.
The list of applicants includes the world champion in the Argentina national team Lionel Messi and the winner of the Golden Ball 2022 Karim Benzema. The third candidate is PSG and France striker Kylian Mbappé.
The FIFA Best FIFA Football Awards 2022 awards ceremony for the best players in the world will take place on February 27.
Last season, the trophy was won by the Polish striker Robert Lewandowski, who was playing for Bayern at that moment. Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel was named manager of the year.
